About

Hello friends and welcome!

March 20th marked the first day of Spring and with thoughts of sunnier days and leaves on trees I have been inspired to “bloom” a little myself this Spring.  As the seasons are in a transitional phase, I too find myself in a transition.  After 3 years of working at a busy New York City Investment Bank, I have decided to move on from the financial industry and create a new and personally more fulfilling path.  Where this all leads me to, I have no idea, but at the end of the day I want to be doing things that I love and inspire me.

The snow is finally melting and farmers are starting to bring out fresh soil and planting new seeds.  Crop shares are quickly filling up getting ready to bring a season of fresh produce to us city dwellers craving that box of the weekly harvest.  The outdoor furniture is slowly creeping out on to restaurant sidewalks and slowly everyone is putting their puffy coats further back in their closets.

Growing up, the kitchen table was always the focal point of our house.  Full of food, music and laughter; it is where some of my fondest memories of family and friends were created.  With this site I’d like to create a kitchen table like community where we can share recipes, cooking tips, restaurant recommendations and fun upcoming events.  As I am from Southern California originally and constantly bouncing around, please don’t let the NYC in the title scare you away from sharing what is going on in your neighborhood.

So sharpen your knives, hit the green markets, call your friends and make some margaritas!  Spring is here and I am ready to celebrate it!

Thanks for reading!

You were the first person who taught me how to make french toast! I still use your recipe and enjoy every bite. So happy to learning you’re doing what you love.
